Johnson & Johnson Executive Joins the GS1 US Board of Governors
Katherine Ross to Guide GS1 US Strategy to Improve Cross-Industry Supply Chain Efficiencies
LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J., June 8, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Katherine Ross, Vice President, Customer & Logistics Services, Johnson & Johnson and President of Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems Inc., has been appointed to the GS1 US Board of Governors. She will help guide the GS1 US strategy to drive adoption and usage of GS1 Standards to support cross-industry supply chain efficiencies, regulatory requirements, and the needs of today's consumers and patients. Ms. Ross replaces John Hogan, Vice President, Customer & Logistics Services, Johnson & Johnson and President Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems, Inc., who has served on the GS1 US Board of Governors since 2010.
Throughout her career, Ms. Ross has led manufacturing, procurement and planning organizations, as well as logistics operations on three continents. Currently, she manages the enterprise-wide logistics and customer service organizations at Johnson & Johnson, comprising 6,000 associates, a network of 350 distribution centers and 200 customer service centers. She also leads Johnson & Johnson's Health Care Systems Inc. organization, focused on providing contracting services to commercial customers and intermediary partners of U.S.-based Johnson & Johnson companies, including hospital systems, health plans, distributors, wholesalers and the U.S. government.
