SKILLMAN, N.J., March 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- As a global leader in scientifically driven skincare, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. will present 21 Posters/Abstracts at this year's American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL, March 3-7, 2017. The research includes studies in photoprotection, light therapy for acne, atopic dermatitis and skin microbiome.
"As the research shared at this meeting shows, our scientists study skin health around the world and across a lifetime, from birth to maturity," said Jennifer Zhu, Vice President, Global Beauty R&D at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. "We are committed to developing transformative solutions for common skincare concerns, while adhering to a high standard of clinical efficacy and superior aesthetics."
Of note, Longitudinal Development of the Skin Microbiome During the Neonatal Period (#5324) will be presented at the Late-Breaking Research Forum (Clinical Studies/Pediatric) on Saturday, March 4 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM EST (F072), by Kimberly Capone, PhD, Research Fellow at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc.
"Our team is committed to better understanding the role of the microbiome across skin health in a scientifically rigorous way in order to provide truly disruptive approaches to treating skin issues," said Ms. Zhu. "This area of research delivers insights that are relevant to our current business, as well as to our long-term pipeline for both pediatric and adult product development."
Scientific Posters include evaluations of high-SPF sunscreen in real-world settings, as well as an assessment of efficacy, tolerance and mode of action for low-level blue/red light therapy in treatment of acne.
All abstracts will be available for online viewing at the AAD meeting starting 7:00AM EST on March 3, 2017.
