John Vandermay Joins Collective
Real-Time Data and Analytics Innovator Takes on CTO Role
NEW YORK, Nov. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- A new Chief Technology Officer has taken the helm at Collective, the company announced today. John Vandermay recently joined the digital advertising company to advance its product suite, driving the strategic direction of its long-term strategy, including the development of next generation applications, product architecture, and technology infrastructure.
Collective celebrates its tenth anniversary next year and is a driving force in the digital advertising industry. Vandermay's addition will fuel the next series of innovations to Collective's technology architecture and enterprise products, such as multiscreen advertising insights that provide unparalleled cost and inventory transparency across the spectrum of programmatic ad technologies.
Vandermay will work closely with Chief Product Officer Eoin Townsend, who has been tapped to lead Collective's future programmatic offerings: which will continue the company's commitment to a data driven, machine-based ad platform that functions in real-time. Vandermay has an impressive track record developing market-leading products and tools, and will work to bring next generation capabilities to market for agencies, marketers and resellers.
"Collective's innovation and ambition is what attracted me to the company. They have a well-established data and technology platform that can evolve in support of the company's future product solutions," said Vandermay. "In such a dynamic industry, Collective has stayed ahead of the curve, so I'm excited about extending the conversation and providing clients with new ways to engage with the company."
With over 25 years of software engineering and global leadership experience, Vandermay comes to Collective from Dassault Systèmes GEOVIA, where he was the Vice President of Product Development, and oversaw successful R&D in the engineering and technical product management areas. In addition to executive leadership roles in engineering at brand-recognizable companies like Cognos and BlackBerry, he also led Engineering and Development at Omniture, where his substantial contributions resulted in a successful IPO in 2006 and the sale of the company to Adobe in 2009 for $1.8 billion.
"This is a fast-paced field, but we're focused on investing in and delivering solutions that places the power of our audience and campaign performance in the hands of our clients. John's demonstrated talent for scaling engineering teams and new product initiatives, most notably expanding Omniture's line from one to over 12 products, and leveraging his business intelligence skills at an enterprise level is why he was the right choice to lead Collective's engineering team and made him a perfect fit for Collective's future growth plans," said Collective Chief Executive Officer Joe Apprendi.
