John Cannon Joins Health Care Service Corporation As Executive VP And Chief Administrative Officer
CHICAGO, April 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), the nation's largest customer-owned health insurer, today announced that John Cannon will join the company on April 29 as executive vice president and chief administrative officer. In this new role, Cannon will report to company president and CEO Patricia Hemingway Hall and have responsibility for HCSC's legal, risk management, human resources and corporate real estate functions.

Cannon comes to HCSC from WellPoint, where he most recently served as executive vice president, general counsel, chief public affairs officer and corporate secretary. He also served for several months as WellPoint's Interim President and CEO. Prior to joining WellPoint in 2007, John served in various positions for 19 years at CIGNA Corporation.
