John Bolton Super PAC Announces Intentions To Target Senate And House Races In Arkansas, New Hampshire, And North Carolina
The Ambassador's Super PAC will initially invest resources in the three states to ensure national security is a significant issue in the midterm elections.
WASHINGTON, Aug. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Ambassador John Bolton announces his Super PAC's intention initially to focus its independent expenditures in the states of Arkansas, New Hampshire, and North Carolina for the 2014 midterm elections. The campaigns are intended to impact Senate and House elections so that national security policies are a significant issue in the electoral process, and to support candidates who believe in rebuilding America's presence and reputation abroad receive needed support.
"We are in advanced preparations for conveying the critical message that we need more members of Congress who understand that foreign and defense policy issues must resume their appropriate priority at the top of the national political agenda," Bolton said. "We are focusing initially on three critical states and I'm excited about the impact we'll have."
The first independent expenditure from the John Bolton Super PAC was a $30,000 ad-buy critiquing New Hampshire Congresswoman Ann Kuster. The hard-hitting ad, which will run through at least July and criticizes Kuster for her befuddled take on national security and the Benghazi tragedy, can be seen here: http://boltonsuperpac.com/baffled/.
Concurrently, the John Bolton PAC has endorsed and contributed to 12 candidates for election to federal office, including U.S. Senate candidates Thom Tillis (NC), Ed Gillespie (VA), Tom Cotton (AR), Joni Ernst (IA), Terri Lynn Land (MI), Scott Brown (NH), and Leader Mitch McConnell (KY), along with U.S. House of Representatives candidates Martha McSally (AZ-2), Barbara Comstock (VA-10), Adam Kinzinger (IL-16), Robert Dold (IL-10), and Mike Pompeo (KA-4). The combined money raised for the two PACs is over $4 million to date with nearly $3 million cash on hand.
