Dr. Jesus Santos, master of ceremonies, president of Dharma Foundation and Rector of the International University of Panama, introduced Mr. Rendon with the following statement: "We are very pleased to be presenting this recognition award to Juan Jose Rendon for his 24 years of successful career, for being recognized worldwide for his continuous fight on behalf of human rights and because he has transcended to be one of the most significant political consultants in the world, providing the best governments bringing the democracy to Latin America."
J.J. Rendon received the award in the presence of numerous international personalities of the political and educational field, and a very emotionally moved Rendon said "I want to take this opportunity to talk about Venezuela, my country, which is ruled by a Neo Totalitarianism government, a pseudo-democracy, as a new Caribbean imperialism, with 167,000 people killed, and dominated by the tentacles of the Chavez regime who is trying to take part in other governments. I don't know if it is a mistake, but I really appreciate that you used in the ceremony my original Venezuelan flag, because I am a 7 stars Venezuelan, not of the 4th, 5th but of the 6th."
Spectators from the event with specific mention of the Venezuelans were encouraged by newly appointed Dr. Rendon's speech and stated that they were now more than ever motivated to continue the fight for democracy and freedom in Venezuela.
