Jingit Trending Success
Jingit's platform enables consumers, advertisers and publishers to interact and transact using real cash instantly at any value
MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Jingit, an integrated payment and cash based transactional advertising platform that launched at Finovate in September, has beat growth expectation. The number of participants doubled in October and again in November. The steady growth is attributed to its viral and social media marketing efforts as well as its captivating demonstration and unveiling at the FinovateFall Conference.
Individuals who sign-up at Jingit engage with brands, such as Sony, Domino's Pizza and T-Mobile, by watching ads and answering short surveys on their PCs, tablets or smart phones. In return, they earn cash, not credits, points or virtual currency. The cash can be spent instantly to buy goods online, or can be transferred to a Jingit Visa® Debit Card, issued by U.S. Bank, to spend anywhere Visa is accepted.
"How much is a brand willing to pay for a person's undivided attention? Quite a bit, as it turns out," said Joe Rogness, co-CEO and co-founder of Jingit. "The premise for Jingit to the consumer is simple: Earn. Pay. Save. Consumers earn cash immediately for a brand engagement, and then pay for something online or in the real world or save through real time offers, incentives or deals. Brands and advertisers for the first time are able to pay instantly for engagement with who they want, when they want and for the amount of money they want."
In October, approximately 33% of all Jingit participants have already ordered their Jingit Visa® Debit Card.
"U.S. Bank is pleased with the number of participants who are selecting the Jingit card to spend their money," said Kevin Morrison, senior vice president, U.S. Bank Retail Payments Solutions. "The numbers have exceeded our expectation, which indicates the value of familiarity, convenience and flexibility that we are bringing to Jingit and its participants."
In beta mode since August, Jingit is growing at an escalating pace week over week through word of mouth and social media sharing.
