FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Jan. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq: JBLU) today announced its new daily nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Jose Maria Cordova International Airport (MDE) in Medellin is out for sale today in the United States. Medellin will be JetBlue's 79^th BlueCity and third Colombian destination (a). Sale fares for U.S.-originating flights are available today at www.jetblue.com/new for as low as $79 one way from Fort Lauderdale to Medellin for travel between June 13 and July 31, 2013 (b).

In addition to JetBlue's nonstop service to South Florida, Medellin customers will be able to conveniently connect onwards from Fort Lauderdale to other destinations in the United States and the Caribbean including: Austin, Texas; Boston, MA; Hartford, CT; New York (JFK and LaGuardia); Newark, NJ; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Washington, DC.

Destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean now make up almost one-third of JetBlue's route network. Medellin, Colombia's second largest city, will be JetBlue's 79^th destination and its third destination in the South American country.
