Jerry W. McDaniel Recognized by Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Publication
SYOSSET, N.Y., June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Jerry W. McDaniel, of Logan, Ohio, has been included in the Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Edition for his outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of fine arts.
ABOUT JERRY W. McDANIEL
Mr. McDaniel has over 40 years of experience in art. His first drawings were published in Redbook Magazine within three months of his college graduation. His first commission was a national campaign for PAN AM Airlines, followed by art work for Intercontinental Hotels International advertisements. Mr. McDaniel was the MCCAA Tennis Champion in 1971-1972, which led to a career as a Sports Artist and Designer with Philip Morris International for 25 years. In 1961, he opened the J.W. McDaniel Studios. Mr. McDaniel has been awarded 300+ citations for excellence in art and design from various national and international art associations. Two of his original paintings for the Madison Square Garden Men's Masters Tennis Tournament in 1988/1989, were accepted into the Tennis Hall of Fame in Rhode Island. He's had numerous exhibitions and his art is in many collections including New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, Smithsonian and U.S. Air Force Collection. In 1966, Mr. McDaniel created New York's first disco poster, "Harlow's" which was seen worldwide and was present in the Art Nouveau Revival exhibition, Orsay Museum, Paris, France, 2010. He is a member of several art associations. Mr. McDaniel received a B.F.A. from Columbus College of Art and Design in 1972, and an M.A. in Computer Communication and Computer Art, from the NY Institute of Technology in 1982. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California, where he enjoys tennis and creating art.
