CHESTERLAND, Ohio, May 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Fairmount Minerals announced today that Jenniffer Deckard has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer. She is assuming this position upon the retirement of Chuck Fowler after his seventeen years in that capacity. Fowler will continue as a Director and as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Fairmount Board. Although stepping down from day-to-day management responsibility, Fowler will continue as a mentor and advisor to management.

Deckard joined Fairmount in 1994 in Illinois and was appointed President in January 2011. Prior to that date, she was Chief Financial Officer and has led the company's extensive Sustainable Development activities since 2005. She has strongly promoted the company's SD commitment through the engagement of everyone in the organization in strengthening the communities in which the company operates and protecting the environment while continuing the dynamic growth of the company in revenues and profitability.

She is a member of the boards of Greater Cleveland Partnership, the Chardon Healing Fund, First Tee of Cleveland and the Fairmount Minerals Foundation.
