J.C. Wooloughan Irish Pub Gears Up for St. Patrick's Day
For the best in food, drink and live entertainment, JW Marriott Las Vegas' pub rolls out a six-day festival with plenty of blarney and pub revelry
LAS VEGAS, Feb. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- St. Patrick's Day 2010 is celebrated in the grandest of styles at J.C. Wooloughan Irish Pub in the JW Marriott Las Vegas luxury resort. As Las Vegas' first bona fide Irish pub, brought over brick and mortar from the Emerald Isle, this establishment offers a truly authentic experience with a six-day party running from Friday, March 12 thru Wednesday, March 17.
The blarney and fun crank up with an Irish Happy Hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday with pints of the pride of Ireland (Guinness, Harp and Smithwick's) just $3 each. The Wild Celts put everyone in the spirit with best of song starting at 8 p.m. to Midnight both days. No cover charge.
Sunday, March 14 is a family affair with a traditional Irish Brunch and Seisiun in J.C. Wooloughan. Entertainment is provided by Martin Percival School of Irish Dance and John Windsor. The cost is $25 per person and children 10 and under are $15. Seating is available from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and reservations are advised and can be made by calling 702-869-7725.
The party at the Las Vegas resort's restaurants in Summerlin continues on Monday, March 15 with Irish Happy Hour from 5 to 7 p.m. featuring $3 selected pints.
On the eve of St. Patrick's Day (Tuesday, March 16), Irish Happy Hour abounds from 5 to 7 p.m. The party tone is set with entertainment by Thompson / O'Keefe from 8 p.m. to midnight. No cover charge.
On St. Patrick's Day, doors open at 10 a.m. with a smorgasbord of food and libation including a traditional steamship of Corned Beef Carvery served at 11 a.m. and available throughout the day. Traditional bagpipes launch the entertainment line-up at noon with John Windsor, Acoustic Soul, and Thompson/O'Keefe providing continuous music.
At 3 p.m., The Backyard opens with live entertainment starting at 4 p.m. showcasing Tartanic, direct from Texas and guaranteeing a show to remember. Tartanic creates a high-energy pulse with their contemporary compositions using large drums and bagpipes. Rounding out the festivities, The Wild Celts take the stage at 9 p.m. with the very best of Celtic rock playing to the wee hours.
