Jason Mraz and Matthew Reeve Run the Heyday 5k at Port Town Throwdown for Life Rolls On
SAN PEDRO, Calif., June 13, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Hundreds of individuals will gather in San Pedro, CA on Saturday, June 15, 2013, as Heyday Elite Fitness hosts "Port Town Throwdown and Heyday 5k," a run and CrossFit competition that benefits Life Rolls On (LRO). As a subsidiary of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, LRO enables individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI) to experience the rush of riding a wave with the assistance of adaptive surfboards and volunteers. Stop by to visit several mouthwatering food trucks and a Vendor Village! Live bands will be performing throughout the day.
The event will feature celebrity supporters, dedicated athletes, and LRO community heroes.
Thirteen teams from across Southern California will compete in the CrossFit competition to win the Port Town Throwdown winning title.
Jason Mraz will run the 5k in support of the cause as Jesse's close friend and surfing companion. Jason is a continued champion of LRO and will be hosting a benefit concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl on September 2, 2013.
