Michigan's Best Women's Soccer Teams to Play Japanese All Stars This Week
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Top rated Michigan soccer teams will get a taste of international competition this week with the All Star Women's Soccer Team from Japan. Japan's team called 'Brilliant', will play five games in one week including 3 NCAA division 1 Michigan teams and a High School State Champion.
The talented athletes of the 'Brilliant' team will face some of the top players in Michigan, and expect to experience a new grade of competition. The women embrace this once in a lifetime opportunity to travel here, play against the best and be showcased for top colleges and professional teams in the U.S.A. The teams also get to mingle off the field with coaches and players at a private reception to be held at the Consulate General's home in Bloomfield Hills.
The 18-member roster for the "Brilliant Tour" is impressive, including 9 national team candidates, 4 players from U.S. universities and 1 member of the Athens's Olympic Team.
All are invited to see these exemplary teams in action at Total Soccer located in Wixom, Michigan:
- Monday, February 15; 2:15pm vs. Novi Jaguars (State Champion)
- Tuesday, February 16; 2:00pm vs. Madonna University (NAIA)
- Thursday, February 18; 10:30am vs. Oakland University (NCAA1)
- Thursday, February 18; 3:15pm vs. University of Michigan (NCAA1)
- Friday, February 19; 2:30pm vs. University of Detroit Mercy (NCAA1)
