LOS ANGELES, Feb. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Home Video Licensing (HVL) recently furnished video clips to Jaguar USA and Virgin Money, Australia, which played an integral part in each of their campaign themes. HVL licenses the America's Funniest Home Videos clip library, which is culled from over two decades of submissions to AFV and is one of the largest collections of cleared, user-generated content in the world.

Jaguar's :30 holiday internet spot, "Cat's In Boxes," used four HVL clips of cats playing or hiding in boxes. Fun as they are, they don't compare to "a cat right out of a box," which, of course, is a Jaguar revealed in a gift box. The spot, which was produced by Mindshare Entertainment, can be viewed at: http://bit.ly/1myRYqc.
Virgin Money, Australia came to Home Video Licensing for their Virgin Income Protection campaign which called for video of people experiencing mishaps. "Funny Accidents," a :30 spot for broadcast and internet, used nine AFV clips to present the message that accidents are funny until they stop you from working. Michael Hollis from NOW Screen in Sydney, Australia worked closely with Home Videos Licensing Director Yolanda Seabourne from their headquarters in Los Angeles. Says Hollis, "Despite the time difference Yolanda was always in touch, easily contactable, and made the process of licensing these clips easy. There were so many clips to choose from, and everyone at HVL was happy to help me compile a number of clip bins for creative and client review, and for my complex, specific brief. The clips could also be sent to us in a range of specs, making it easy for us to drop them into our editing program." The spot can be viewed at http://bit.ly/LNC7Zn.
"Though the Jaguar and Virgin spots are very different," notes Seabourne, "both required licensing footage we are well known for – cute animals and funny accidents. The Jaguar creatives were able to find clips they wanted directly from our YouTube channel. Virgin Money preferred that I select a variety to fit their needs. It was a delight to work on these projects."
