ITT Technical Institute Freezes Tuition for Sixth Straight Year
CARMEL, Ind., May 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- ITT Technical Institute has entered its sixth consecutive year of holding tuition rates steady, as part of ITT Tech's ongoing commitment to better serve its non-traditional students nationwide.
"ITT Tech students know the value of our scholarships and they experience first-hand our pledge to increase access to our educational programs," said Kevin Modany, chief executive officer of ITT Educational Services, Inc. "As part of this pledge, we made a commitment not to increase tuition starting in 2010."
On average, students who graduated from ITT Tech last year received scholarships or grants that reduced their overall tuition by approximately 48 percent.
ITT Tech is proud to offset tuition expenses with scholarships. Today, virtually none of ITT Tech's students use private loans to finance their education.
At ITT Tech, the average net price for an associate degree program was approximately $23,300 after grants and scholarships for students, according to the most recent data published by the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics. Net price is the out-of-pocket cost to a student.
ITT Tech has educated more than a million students since opening its doors in 1969. Many of ITT Tech's students are non-traditional, often defined as older and balancing family obligations with underemployment.
ITT Tech's graduates are employed by many of America's leading companies and contribute to the growth of the nation's economy.
