Ireland's Best-Loved Brands to be Featured on QVC's 24-Hour St. Patrick's Day Broadcast
WEST CHESTER, Pa., March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- This St. Patrick's Day, QVC® is celebrating its 21st year of Irish programming with a 24-hour event that is scheduled to kick off Wednesday, March 17, at midnight (ET). Featuring an eclectic assortment of authentic Irish goods, many of which were created especially for QVC, the 21st Annual St. Patrick's Day broadcast is the multimedia retailer's largest showcase of Irish goods.
As one of the largest U.S. retailers for Irish goods, the show coincides with a Trade and Investment Mission to the United States led by Ireland's Prime Minister, Brian Cowen. The Mission is organized by Enterprise Ireland, the Irish state agency responsible for the development and promotion of Ireland's indigenous business sector.
"This is a unique forum for U.S. consumers to purchase popular Irish-made goods. QVC always finds something very distinctive to showcase in this special program. For admirers of Irish goods, it means getting access to high-quality products from the comfort and convenience of their homes," said Tom Cusack, Director, Americas at Enterprise Ireland.
This year, the lineup of new products is scheduled to include Inis Moonlight, a new perfume from Fragrances of Ireland to be sold exclusively by QVC for a year, as well as Cottage Creations, O'Gowna, Rachel Allen Cookware, Ballymorris Pottery and The Auld Sod Export. Favorite pieces, including Belleek, Merino Wool Cardigans, Connemara Marble Sterling Shamrock Ring and Sterling Shamrock Heart Pendant, and Tipperary Crystal's Four-Arm chandelier are also scheduled to be offered during the broadcast.
QVC's St. Patrick's Day products will be available starting March 17 at QVC.com or 800.345.1515, while supplies last.
