Rite Aid stores nationwide to sell Lifes2Good's clinically proven Viviscal
All-natural hair nourishment system
SAN JOSE, Calif. and GALWAY, Ireland, March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Lifes2Good, a natural health care company, based in Galway, Ireland, today announced it has signed a major distribution agreement with Rite Aid, that will result in the sale of its Viviscal all-natural hair nourishment system throughout 4,900 Rite Aid stores beginning in April. The Viviscal system has been clinically proven to stop thinning hair, while encouraging the regrowth of existing hair. It is sold in 26 countries, including the U.K., Ireland, Portugal and the Netherlands, and is the highest-selling natural hair supplement brand in the world. With the Rite Aid deal, Viviscal is now available in more than 7,000 stores across the U.S.
The announcement was made during a Trade and Investment Mission to the U.S. led by Ireland's Prime Minister, Brian Cowen. The Mission was organized by Enterprise Ireland, the Irish state agency responsible for the development and promotion of the indigenous Irish business sector.
Lifes2Good, with U.S. headquarters in Chicago, Ill., first established operations in the U.S. in 2007 and launched U.S. sales of its flagship product, Viviscal, at New York area Duane Reade stores in 2009. The Viviscal system quickly achieved wide customer acceptance, resulting in this recent nationwide distribution expansion. Under the terms of the distribution agreement, Rite Aid stores will sell Viviscal Extra Strength supplements, as well as complementary shampoo and conditioner to nourish hair inside and out. The Viviscal tablet is formulated with AminoMar C™ Marine Complex, and Acerola Cherry Extract, one of the richest sources of Vitamin C.
In a separate development, Lifes2Good also named Emmy Award-winning actress Finola Hughes as U.S. brand spokesperson for Viviscal products.
"Hair loss affects one in two men and one in three women in the United States, making it a common concern for millions of people," said James Murphy, Lifes2Good CEO. "We're excited to be able to offer Viviscal to the U.S. consumer through our chain-wide partnership with Rite Aid and to find an advocate for the product in Finola Hughes."
Hugh Cooney, chairman of Enterprise Ireland noted, "This is an excellent example of the success Irish companies can have in the US when executing on solid marketing strategies in support of high-quality products. It also highlights the mutual benefits that result from business partnerships between Irish and U.S. companies. While many people may be aware that the U.S. is Ireland's number one export market, they may not realize that over 82,000 Americans are employed by Irish companies based in the U.S."
