IPC The Hospitalist Company Acquires Pediatric Practice in Arizona

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Dec. 29, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- IPC The Hospitalist Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: IPCM), the leading national hospitalist group practice company, announced today that it has acquired Desert Pediatric Hospitalists, PLC, based in Mesa, Arizona. The practice has an annualized volume of approximately 50,000 pediatric inpatient encounters. IPC has been active in the Phoenix market since 1998, and has provided pediatric hospitalist services since 2001.
