International Working Dog Competition Starts Today
World Trials PPL Park Philadelphia October 16-19, 2013

NEW YORK, Oct. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --The best of the best German Shepherd Dogs and teams from around the world compete for "top dog" honors in each of three competitive aspects for working dogs – Obedience, tracking and protection work. Awards are for individuals and Teams. Team USA last won the competition in 2006.
WHO: 85 International Teams (dogs and Handlers) representing 30 countries compete for Title of Top Dog – WUSV 2013. Teams began arriving on Saturday and are in training up to the competition. The USA team was selected after a competition in Ohio June 1-2, 2013.
Representing Team USA this year are Jim Hill (Philadelphia, PA), Mike Diehl, (Marion County, Indiana) Tommy Gillies, (Indianapolis, IN) and Sean O'Kane (Danville, IL), all United Schutzhund Club of America); Chris Meverden (Tampa, FL) and Josh Markow (Jefferson GA) (German Shepherd Dog Club – Working Dog Association (GSDCA-WDA).
