International Isotopes Inc. Depleted Uranium Project Nuclear Regulatory Commission Licensing Remains on Course
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) announces the start of the final public comment period on the draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Company's planned depleted uranium de-conversion facility
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho, Jan. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- International Isotopes Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: INIS), announces the NRC has commenced the public notification and comment period on the draft EIS for the Company's planned depleted uranium de-conversion facility. As a part of the public comment period process, the NRC plans a public meeting in Hobbs, New Mexico on February 2, 2012. In addition to the public meeting, comments on the project and the draft EIS will be taken until February 27, 2012.
The application and information about the NRC license review process are available on the NRC website at http://www.nrc.gov/materials/fuel-cycle-fac/inisfacility.html. The Draft EIS is available in the NRC's ADAMS online database by entering Accession Number ML12001A000 in the Content Search box.
The NRC will accept written comments on the Draft EIS through Feb. 27. Comments may be submitted online at http://www.regulations.gov using Docket ID NRC-2010-0143, or mailed to Cindy Bladey, Chief, Rules, Announcements and Directives Branch (RADB), Division of Administrative Services, Office of Administration, Mail Stop: TWB-05-B01M, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Washington, D.C. 20555-0001.
