In this issue, CCM further introduces the six highly toxic insecticides to be eliminated in 2013 with in-depth investigation. Both production status and market situation of them are covered. As investigated, most manufacturers registering these six highly toxic insecticides already stopped the production and some even turned to the production of other insecticides like those with low toxicity. Low toxic insecticides have become major contributors to the growth in some pesticide manufacturers' pesticide business revenue. Pyrethroid insecticides, for example, contributed a lot to the growth in Jiangsu Yangnong's pesticide business revenue in H1 2011.
CCM also continues to review the financial performance of listed pesticide companies, covering Jiangsu Yangnong, Shandong Dacheng and Hubei Sanonda. The first two companies achieved good performance in H1 2011, while Shandong Dacheng went the opposite way due to the poor performance of its subsidiary—Zibo Dacheng.
New 2-chloro-5-chloromethyl pyridine (CCMP) production technology and novel Bph-resistant hybrid rice line are also included in this issue. Qingdao Hailier plans to promote its new CCMP production technology among domestic imidacloprid manufacturers, which may save them a great amount of investment in wastewater treatment.
