SPRINGFIELD, Va., Oct. 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Triple-i today announced that it has been selected as the prime contractor supporting the Food and Drug Administration's Dashboards and Analytics (Dashboards) program. This 5-year, $28M Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) will be used to support FDA's Transparency initiatives by establishing more effective avenues to combine, analyze, and display large pooled datasets. The scope of this BPA includes both public and internal facing dashboards across various FDA centers and offices. It will be delivered through the use of commercial cloud services and COTS dashboard software.
FDA is expanding the use of a dashboard solution to promote transparency and accountability. A wider adoption will also help leadership to improve the Agency's data quality and allow users to easily spot trends and exceptions that represent potential public health risks. In addition, the dashboard solution will help FDA strengthen its collaboration with other public health agencies and leverage the expertise and resources of its partners at the international, federal, state, and local levels.
On the Dashboards program, Triple-i will support a variety of operations and maintenance (O&M) and development, modernization, and enhancement (DME) efforts that enable FDA centers and offices to further their objectives around the FDA Transparency initiatives. These initiatives include analyzing data, modeling master data sets, visualizing information, data cleaning and acquisition, integrating with transactional systems to extract data, and making data accessible via dashboard deployed on web and mobile technologies.
"Triple-i is honored to have been selected by FDA for the Dashboards effort," says Ted Schmitt, Triple-i's Agile Development Solutions Division Manager. "We look forward to delivering this dynamic, cloud-based COTS solution which will allow the FDA to connect with its public user audience via modern data visualizations."
