In early August, Marcus Dozier joined the Infinity Transportation Logistics (ITL) team as an Operations Specialist in its Kansas City office. Marcus joins ITL from Huntsville, Alabama where he earned a BS in Logistics from Alabama A&M University, and was captain of the university's football team.
Additionally, ITL recently implemented McLeod Software as its operating platform. McLeod is a fully integrated transportation management system and will help to further improve efficiencies with various customers, dray carriers, rail carriers, and 3PLs as ITL plans its growth strategy for 2016 and beyond.
Furthermore, ITL now has operating agreements with the major Class I Railroads in North America and is able to provide expedited eastbound temperature controlled door-to-door domestic intermodal service from Washington State and Oregon to the following destinations or locations: Illinois (Greater Chicago & surrounding areas including western Michigan, southern Wisconsin and northern Indiana); New York (Buffalo area, New York City & its boroughs); Pennsylvania (Chambersburg, Harrisburg, and Philadelphia areas); Maryland (greater Baltimore area); Massachusetts (Boston and Springfield areas); Georgia (greater Atlanta area); and Florida (Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa Bay areas).
ITL utilizes state-of-the-art domestic 53-ft refrigerated containers to move frozen foods (i.e. frozen French fries, frozen fish, frozen vegetables, frozen juice concentrate, etc.), fresh produce (apples, potatoes, pears, onions, carrots, etc.) and other refrigerated products eastbound from Washington State and Oregon to the Midwest and East Coast.
For return westbound service from the above mentioned locations to Washington State and Oregon, ITL is able haul various refrigerated and temperature controlled products (i.e. frozen pizza, frozen yogurt, frozen seafood, frozen dough, beverages, frozen juice concentrate, etc.) or dry products.
ITL's expedited door-to-door intermodal temperature controlled service departs from/returns to intermodal ramps in Seattle, WA, Spokane, WA and Portland, OR six days per week. Working with our Class I Railroad partners, ITL has established door-to-door service with transit times of approximately 5 to 6 days to/from the Midwest and 7 to 8 days to/from various destinations on the East Coast.
ITL has a service radius of about 160 miles from/to intermodal ramps in Seattle, Spokane & Portland, and can pick up/drop off product in many parts of Washington, Oregon & Idaho including: greater Portland, OR area, Willamette Valley, OR, Hood River, OR, Bend, OR, Columbia Basin of WA & OR, greater Wenatchee, WA area, Yakima Valley, WA, Skagit Valley, WA, Puget Sound, WA area, greater Spokane, WA area and northern Idaho.
To continue to raise awareness about its domestic temperature controlled intermodal service and to reach new customers in 2015, ITL has stepped up its marketing efforts and will be attending/participating this fall at the Produce Marketing Association (PMA) Fresh Summit in Atlanta, the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) Expo. in Fort Lauderdale, and the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods (NFRA) Convention in Dallas.
