Industry Veteran Brian Stimpfl Joins ActiFi Executive Team
Former TD Ameritrade Institutional Managing Director to help financial services software and solutions firm continue its global growth initiatives and expansion of enterprise licensing program
PLYMOUTH, Minn., Jan. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ActiFi, Inc., the leader in developing scalable practice management software for the financial service industry, today announced the addition of Brian Stimpfl to the firm's executive team. As senior vice president of Relationship Management, Stimpfl is responsible for continuing ActiFi's global growth strategy.
"Brian has built an impeccable reputation in the financial services industry over the past 18 years, and he is a recognized expert at knowing how a financial services institution can best support and grow its advisor client base," said ActiFi CEO Spenser Segal. "His extensive knowledge on the inner-workings of both enterprise and advisory firms will help us further our goals faster, and most important, he will provide tremendous value to ActiFi's existing and future clients."
ActiFi's core product, Roadmap, is a customizable and configurable software as a service program that systematizes advisor productivity and business growth, with full accountability reporting and benchmark financial analysis at both the advisor and enterprise level. In addition, ActiFi offers enterprise-level software to aid in advisor transitions, advisor consulting services, and advisor marketing and sales training. ActiFi has also partnered with the Financial Planning Association to publish what many consider the industry's most comprehensive studies on financial advisor technology.
"ActiFi is on the cutting edge of where practice management and institutional support for advisors is going," said Stimpfl. "Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work with leaders who truly care for the success of financial advisors and I've found that same culture at ActiFi, combined with an entrepreneurial spirit and a team of experts that is creating breakthrough technology, advisor support, and training programs."
Stimpfl joins ActiFi after having spent his entire career in the financial services industry, most recently as Managing Director of TD Ameritrade Institutional, Advisor Advocacy & Industry Affairs. At TDAI, he was responsible for creating the formal role of advisor advocate, becoming an "industry voice" at the advisor and institutional level which was especially critical during the latest financial crisis and current legislative reform debate. His breakthrough work on industry advisor/client care, advisor surveys, and industry communication and partnership-building efforts were exceptionally important in actions such as the recent defeat of the SEC Custody Rule proposal and the still pending debate on the fiduciary responsibility of financial intermediaries.
Prior to his advocacy role, Stimpfl spent six years as a Managing Director in charge of TD Ameritrade's Institutional Product Management and Consulting department. He was responsible for TDAI's advisor technology platform, practice management, and investment solutions. In addition he led a team of in-house consultants responsible for working directly with TDAI's financial advisor clients to grow their businesses. Stimpfl also held a number of senior management roles at TD Waterhouse, prior to its merger with Ameritrade. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business, in New York and he holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from Siena College, also in New York.
"At ActiFi, we have some very aggressive growth goals and Brian is a key person to help us meet and exceed our objectives," added Segal. "Our clients are world-class organizations and to maintain and expand our reputation as a global leader in practice management technology, you need to have equally world-class talent on your team. Adding Brian Stimpfl obviously meets that requirement."
