Rexcraft Highlights:
In 1910, Rexcraft began printing wedding invitations in the back of a newspaper company's building in Rexburg, Idaho. The first invitation style was a simple, panel invitation on white paper engraved in black ink. That design remains a classic today.
In the 1950s, Rexcraft began selling its invitations through direct mail catalogs, reaching thousands of brides. Invitation styles were expanded to deckle-edged papers, foil designs and raised thermography printing.
Rexcraft set wedding trends with colorful invitation papers in the 1970s and also began printing in colorful inks. Adding a photo to invitations became a hot trend. Very soon after, wedding accessories like bridal garters, ring pillows, printed napkins, toasting glasses, gifts and wedding favors made their appearances in Rexcraft product offerings.
In the 1980s, Rexcraft was known as the company that had everything a bride needed—from invitations and accessories to party supplies and thank you notes. Invitation designs took their cues from the big, bold 80s and featured lavish folds, pearl embossing and colorful designs.
In the 1990s, The Rexcraft catalog was expanded to more than 200 pages, becoming the biggest, most complete offering of wedding stationery and accessories in the marketplace. In 1996, Rexcraft joined the world wide web with a brand new website.
Today, Rexcraft sees the majority of its brides ordering online today and is a major presence on social media networks. Save the date cards and colorful photo invitations have become popular with the bridal couples. Rexcraft offers coordinating invitations and accessories for a cohesive wedding look.
