MT. STERLING, Ill., Sept. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacific Stratus Energy Corporation, a subsidiary of Pacific Rubiales Energy Corporation, located in Bogata, Colombia has now been effectively processing gas for approximately three months with two plants near Bogota built by Tucker Gas Processing Equipment, Inc. TGPE, Inc. is located in the US in the Springfield, Illinois area.
Last year TGPE President Edward B Tucker signed a contract with Pacific Stratus Energy Colombia Corporation, a subsidiary of Pacific Rubiales Energy Corporation, located in Bogota. TGPE designed and manufactured two Amine plants for Pacific. The first plant, called the Abanico Project, is a 1.5 MMscfd , 12.0 gpm Amine Plant operating at 650 PSIG. The second plant, the Guaduas Project, is a 5.0 MMscfd Plant @ 40.0 gpm operating at 500 PSIG.
The gas from the Colombian plants is transported by pipeline and used for domestic consumption in Colombia. For Ed Tucker, President of TGPE, the Colombia Projects with Pacific Rubiales were a breakthrough for TGPE. "The projects with Pacific Rubiales were our first projects internationally. This success has driven us to pursue other international projects. Our presence online, competitive pricing and custom designed systems make us attractive to both domestic and international producers," Tucker said. TGPE's location in a small Midwestern town presents no barriers to international business. Tucker says he fields dozens of inquiries each month from companies worldwide. TGPE is currently working with Ocean Pakistan on a gas processing plant to be located in Pakistan.
