Product Integration with Swaive Marks iDAvatars First Entry into Biometric Device Market, an Industry First for the Healthcare Industry
MILWAUKEE, Feb. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- iDAvatars is pleased to announce today its partnership with Silicon Valley's Swaive Corporation (Swaive) to integrate Swaive's biometric sensors with emotionally intelligent avatars. iDAvatars will integrate 'Sophie' with Swaive's intelligent ear thermometer to deliver an interactive user experience for remote patient monitoring.
"iDAvatars' integration with Swaive's Thermometers is a milestone for our company, and we're excited to introduce Sophie to Swaive's consumer and professional healthcare customers," said Norrie Daroga, CEO of iDAvatars. "As the first emotionally intelligent avatar of her kind, Sophie will augment Swaive Thermometers' features by having a conversation with customers and delivering compassionate, individualized care with patience, empathy, and a sense of humor."
"This collaboration takes the strength of two companies to create a compelling product for the medical market," said Gurpal Bhoot, CEO of Swaive. "The Swaive strength is the hardware, and iDAvatars' strength is the software and user interface featuring Sophie, a virtual medical assistant. The combination results in a phenomenal user experience for our customers."
Key features of the Swaive Thermometer, include the ability to adapt to each family member's age while analyzing their temperature characteristics, simple to use, easy to read day or night display, and the ability to track temperature trends. According to Daroga, Sophie will provide a much greater user experience and more importantly an interactive session to discuss usage and results in real time.
"As the Internet of Things continues to expand to wellness and medical devices, it's collaborations like this that are making a tremendous impact on patient interactions," added Daroga.
iDAvatars is also using the Swaive thermometer as the device for the demo at HIMSS16, booth #8300, February 29-March 4, in Las Vegas.
The companies are also collaborating on developing a wider portfolio of connected medical devices for remote patient monitoring and telehealth markets.
