IABC Detroit Honors Madonna University Student for Annual Student Achievement Award

DETROIT, June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Chris Austin, a student in Madonna University's Communications program, receives top Student Achievement Award at the 2010 IABC Detroit Renaissance Awards Event held in Troy, Mich.

The IABC Detroit Student Achievement Award recognizes outstanding work completed by an undergraduate communications student from the Southeastern Michigan area.

Austin's entry, the inaugural issue of a campus-wide magazine, titled Revelations Madonna 24:7, was released in February 2010 and offered an in-depth look at the activity that goes on around campus at all hours of the day.  Austin served as both the editor of the magazine and as the principal photographer for many of the articles as well as contributing an article.

IABC Detroit's 2010 Renaissance Awards Program will be held on Thursday, June 24 at ArvinMeritor in Troy, located at 2135 W. Maple Road.
