"I Lost a Competition on National Television to Make a Cancer Survivor Happy" Emotional Second Episode of Reality Competition "Global Beauty Masters" Airs on TLC on Thursday, March 24, 2016
LAS VEGAS, March 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The second episode of "Global Beauty Masters," airing on TLC on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 6 p.m. ET/PT, 5 p.m. CT/MT, features raw and emotional footage when contestants are challenged to perform makeovers on cancer survivors. The episode, entitled "Survival of the Fittest," features model and actress Angie Everhart, a cancer survivor herself, promoting a cause close to her heart. To coincide with the release of the episode, one of the show's sponsors, Supreme Hair, is generously donating hundreds of wigs to cancer victims.
The challenge proves to be extremely emotional for many of the competitors involved, as some of them have had family members and friends who have been affected by cancer. Throughout the episode, a heartwarming transformation occurs, not only in the cancer survivors receiving the makeovers, but also in the competitors themselves. Tune in as the contestants harness their emotions and craft, as well as witness the worry about the competition at hand evolve into a sense of purpose. The moving episode chronicles the teams' desire to ensure that the survivors receive a look that leaves them feeling confident and empowered; the results are awe-inspiring. In a separate competition, student beauty teams compete to create a model look based on rock 'n roll icons of the past. This challenge also becomes emotional for one of the student teams.
