The electrolysis of water for hydrogen production has been considered expensive, burdened by the high cost of electricity, and by technical issues of storage and transportation. "We have now consistently made it possible to produce this cheapest hydrogen fuel ever, at less than 0.50 USD per kilogram" (the amount equivalent to the energy content of 3.78 liters or one US gallon of gasoline), says Pesel.

Water is one of the most abundant natural resources that our planet has to offer: no exploration, no drilling and no disastrous oil spills. Clean hydrogen fuel may now be produced on demand anywhere, including your home with no need for storage or transportation. With reasonable modifications to existing fuel systems, clean hydrogen fuel can be used anywhere fossil fuels are used, including producing our electricity and running our factories, our cars, trucks, boats, and planes. The raw materials this fuel needs are water and little electricity. Combining the next-gen electrolyzer with Stirling engine, the company is now focusing to build an Independent Micro Power Station(TM). Properly sized home-based systems will be able to produce more electricity, recovering heat to provide heat and hot water, than most homes may ever be able to use. Selling some of the electricity back to grid will not only help pay for itself, but may provide all the household energy needs for free.
