EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., June 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Anthony W. Brown, an attorney, government official and business executive with broad experience in air transportation and business diversity, has been named Vice President, Partner Relations & Business Diversity for Hudson Group.

Mr. Brown comes to Hudson from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Civil Rights, where he was DBE External Program Manager for the Southern Region, responsible for the implementation, compliance and enforcement of the federal Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Airport Concessions DBE (ACDBE) programs outlined in the Dept. of Transportation's Code of Federal Regulations 49 CFR Parts 23 and 26. These parts govern participation by disadvantaged business enterprises in DOT financial assistance programs.
Prior to joining the FAA, Mr. Brown was a Senior Associate Partner with MGT of America, a nationwide research and consulting firm, where he specialized in managing disparity study projects across the United States. Before that, as Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority's Vice President of Business Diversity, Human Resources and Government Affairs, he directed MSCAA's federal, state and local business diversity programs and represented these programs with the state and federal governments.
Mr. Brown has had extensive business experience, including senior level positions with Northwest Airlink, Schering Plough Pharmaceuticals, Time Warner and Harrah's Entertainment. He also served as a Senior Trial Attorney for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and in private practice. In addition, Mr. Brown is very active with the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC), having chaired numerous conferences for that group. He is the 2010 recipient of the AMAC Award of Chair, given for excellence and commitment to advancing principles of business diversity in airports. He is active with the American Association of Airport Executives, Tennessee Bar Association, Boy Scouts of America and the Mid-South Minority Business Council.
