Hudson & Marshall Holds Seminars to Attract First-Time Homebuyers to Foreclosure Auction of Nearly 250 Atlanta Homes

ATLANTA , April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- In an effort to help stabilize communities saddled with foreclosures, Hudson & Marshall will hold homebuying seminars in Atlanta to help first-time and owner occupant buyers become successful bidders at its auction of nearly 250 foreclosed Atlanta area homes May 8th and 9th. The seminars will be held April 21st and 29th at 6:30 p.m. at HomeFree USA in Atlanta. As part of Hudson & Marshall's Alliance Network program to help revitalize neighborhoods, the seminars will bring together local resources from housing counselors and contractors to real estate agents and mortgage consultants to attract more buyers to their auctions, who intend to live in homes they purchase.
HomeFree USA will offer before and after homebuying counseling and education tips to seminar participants. Since 1995, HomeFree USA has educated over 20,000 families about credit, mortgage financing, and homeownership and helped more than 2,400 families purchase homes.
A contractor from APD Solutions network will educate participants on how to rehab or remodel a home purchased through auction. With 20 years experience revitalizing neighborhoods, APDS is a national firm offering services to assist a range of clients rebuild challenged communities. During the seminars, mortgage lenders also will answer questions and provide information to participants on different financing options while local real estate agents will be on hand to provide information on properties and neighborhoods.

Valued from $15,000 to over $750,000, the 500 plus homes auctioned in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee come with an insurable title, no back taxes or liens. Buyers will be required to make a cash or certified check deposit of $2,500 for each property for which they are the winning bidder.
All homes being auctioned by Hudson & Marshall are sold "as-is" and buyers should inspect properties before placing any bids.
