HomeServe USA Announces 140 New Jobs in Chattanooga
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn., Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- HomeServe USA, a provider of home warranty and repair services, has announced plans to establish a new customer care center in Chattanooga, TN. The new facility, which will employ 140 people, will be located in an 18,000 square-foot space at The Pointe Centre, 1232 Premiere Drive.
According to Jonathan King, CEO of HomeServe, Chattanooga aligns perfectly with the company's corporate strategy. "Locating this facility in a community like Chattanooga was a big part of our goal for this investment," said King. "When one of our customers needs support, we want them to have the reassurance of being assisted by a representative here in the U.S. We narrowed our search to Chattanooga based on availability of high quality employees, the ease of working with the local officials, and the next-generation telecommunications and data infrastructure available here."
King also noted that a Chattanooga location enhances HomeServe's ability to deliver customer service. "We're there for our customers," said King. "The new Chattanooga location will provide excellent backup for our existing facility in Miami, FL."
"We welcome HomeServe to our community," said Chattanooga Mayor Ron Littlefield. "Our cooperative economic development efforts continue to create new jobs. Chattanooga is the center of a growing region and this investment proves as much."
"This investment by HomeServe is welcome news for the people in our community," said Hamilton County Mayor Claude Ramsey. "As many families are struggling to make ends meet, I'm proud of our community's ability to partner with private sector companies like HomeServe to generate new employment opportunities for the people of Hamilton County."
"I'm pleased that HomeServe has chosen to make its investment in Tennessee and Tennessee workers," said Commissioner Matt Kisber, Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. "HomeServe knows that Tennessee places high value on our great business climate and we're committed to developing a top quality work force. This announcement is a great opportunity for both the company and the community."
"HomeServe's investment is particularly important in the context of keeping our industry sectors diverse," said Trevor Hamilton, Vice President of Economic Development for the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce. "Over the last 12 months, we've joined with the city, county, and state to assist 18 companies in announcing 1,338 new jobs by a wide range of companies including customer care operations like HomeServe as well as auto suppliers, an IT company, a food and beverage manufacturer, and many others."
Trevor also applauded the cooperative efforts of all of the economic development partners, who supported HomeServe in creating jobs in Chattanooga. "We appreciate all of the organizations that made this project possible, especially EPB, which came to the table with a number of solutions to clear the way for this announcement," Hamilton said. "We also thank the Pointe Property Group for their work in closing this deal."
"We are excited to have Home Service USA join our community and know they will be a great asset to Chattanooga and to The Pointe Centre," said Ryan Allen, property manager, Pointe Property Group.
