NEW YORK, March 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- H & M, Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M),celebrated thelaunch of its third Conscious Exclusive collection with an intimate dinner last night in West Hollywood at Eveleigh, the rustic and enchanting farm-to-table organic restaurant.The evening was hosted by Alexia Niedzielski and Elizabeth von Guttman of Ever Manifesto with special guest Amber Valletta. Kate Mara, Camilla Belle, Sophia Bush, Emmy Rossum, China Chow, Noomi Rapace, Pamela Love and Elettra Wiedemann attended the event in conjunction with top DJs Misty Rabbit and Nikki Pennie.
The Conscious Exclusive collection is made in collaboration with the sustainable fashion and design think-tank Ever Manifesto, who shares H&M's commitment to a sustainable fashion future. Ever Manifesto will also appear in the Conscious Exclusive campaign together with Amber Valletta, the supermodel and actress also known for her dedication to sustainability. Amber Valletta is also the face of the Conscious collection campaign.
The exclusive collection seen recently on Penelope Cruz, Miranda Kerr, Jessica Alba, and Solange Knowles is a specially designed, limited-edition capsule made in high-quality fabrics with dramatic and intricate details inspired by flamenco and Bohemian influences. New sustainable materials this year include, vegetable tanned leather and organic silk. The collection showcases ultra-feminine details with contrasting masculine elements, with a mix of metallic and rich prints. The H&M Conscious Exclusive collection ranges from $34.95 for organic cotton voile blouses, to $299 for organza jacquard dresses. H&M's Conscious collections are at the forefront of both fashion and sustainability, without compromising quality and price. Starting Thursday, April 10th, the Conscious collections will be sold both in stores and online.
Fashion influencers and VIPs came together to celebrate the launch of the Conscious Exclusive collection and helped bring awareness for a more sustainable fashion future.
While at the H&M Conscious dinner in West Hollywood, Amber Valetta said "there's a movement happening in fashion for everything to become more sustainable, more responsible and its important for companies like H&M to take steps and be leaders. As consumers we need to buy better. H&M has a great opportunity to inform so many people and raise awareness. In attendance at the dinner, actress Kate Mara stated she "loves the H&M Conscious collection" and she "thinks it's really smart of H&M to continue to grow and think of new ways of selling their fashion."
Actress and musician Emmy Rossum, who also attended the intimate dinner, stated, "I think it's cool to see a big company that is producing things that are good quality and they're also being smart about it and making things that are sustainable from recycled materials. I think it has a lot of 'cool factor.'"
The collection will be available in 150 H&M stores worldwide as well as online. Select pieces will also be sold on yoox.com in an area dedicated to Master & Muse, Amber Valletta's initiative to promote environmental responsibility.
