HighTower Expands with Margaret M. Towle, Ph.D., $1 Billion Advisor in Seattle and Minneapolis

CHICAGO, Aug. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- HighTower, a national financial services company serving high net worth and institutional clients, announces that Margaret M. Towle, Ph.D., an advisor based in Seattle and Minneapolis, joined Tuesday, Aug. 16.

Dr. Towle, formerly an advisor with Greycourt, serves a select number of endowments and wealthy families, providing strategic and tactical asset allocation and investment strategies. She joins HighTower as a Partner and Managing Director and will serve on the firm's Group Investment Services (GIS) Steering Committee. The committee oversees the firm's broad investment capabilities, including traditional and alternative investment offerings, investment consulting and research.

She also served a two-year term as a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) board of directors. A former chair of the IMCA Advisory Council and member of IMCA's Investments & Wealth Monitor editorial advisory board, Dr. Towle has a long history of helping form the financial industry's key advisory groups.

She completed post-graduate work in quantitative methods at the University of Michigan, as well as risk management courses in the executive education program at the University of Chicago's Booth Graduate School of Business.
