Heidrick & Struggles Partner Daniel Edwards Named Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum
CHICAGO, March 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Heidrick & Struggles International, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSII), the leadership advisory firm providing executive search and leadership consulting services worldwide, today announced that Global Head of Geographies Daniel Edwards has been named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
One hundred and ninety-seven people have been announced in this year's list drawn from 72 countries. Asia has logged the greatest contribution to this year's line-up with 32% of the honourees hailing from, or working in the region.
Commenting on the news, Heidrick & Struggles CEO Kevin Kelly said, "We have double cause to be proud this year: Not only have we used our expertise to help the World Economic Forum assess the nominees for the third year in a row, but this year, one of our own talented young leaders has also made the list."
Once the initial pool of 5,000 candidates is narrowed down to a few hundred, in its capacity as strategic partner to the World Economic Forum, Heidrick & Struggles assigns a global team of around 50 people to systematically apply a consistent methodology to assess their achievements and suitability for the role of Young Global Leader. There is great diversity in the list with honourees drawn from the realms of business, social entrepreneurs, politics and government, the arts and culture, civil society and media.
Commenting on the news of his inclusion in the list, Daniel Edwards said, "It's the mix of backgrounds and experience of the people on the list that makes the work we are privileged to undertake together so enriching, and hopefully also effective in bringing about global change for the better."
