Heather Paquette Named Managing Partner of KPMG's Detroit Office
DETROIT, Jan. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Heather Paquette, 40, has been named managing partner of the Detroit office of KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax, and advisory firm, effective January 31.
Paquette will be responsible for the strategic direction and growth of KPMG's Detroit office and in making KPMG a great place to build a career. She succeeds Rick Siebert, who has announced his plans to retire in 2012. Siebert will continue to serve KPMG in a regional audit leadership role.

Paquette has significant experience implementing and managing complex, large-scale technology and business process service projects with a specific focus on the automotive, industrial manufacturing and energy industries. Most recently, she served KPMG as the Midwest leader for IT professionals who assess risk and controls related to financial statement audits, and as the National IT leader for assessing the impact of accounting changes. She initially joined KPMG in 1995 and was admitted to the partnership in 2004.

Paquette is a veteran and prior to joining KPMG, served in the United States Air Force from 1989 to 1993, working in the United Kingdom and in the Southern Regional Operation Center for NATO in Naples, Italy.
Throughout her career at KPMG, Paquette has held a number of roles focused on making KPMG a better place to work and grow a career, including serving as the National Advisory Partner for Campus Recruiting and leading a KPMG Women's Advisory Board effort to roll-out the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award program to over a dozen offices within KPMG.
Paquette serves as the International Board Chair for ATHENA International, which is focused on developing, supporting, and honoring women leaders in more than 200 communities in seven countries. Paquette has been recognized by the Glass Hammer as a 2009 Rising Star, by the Illinois CPA Society as a 2009 Women to Watch and by KPMG as their 2010 Working Mother of the Year.
Paquette is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Paquette graduated cum laude from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where she currently serves on the School of Accountancy Board of Advisors.
