WESTWOOD, Mass., Nov. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- From large IDNs to small critical access hospitals, MEDITECH's Web Electronic Health Record (EHR) is transforming workflows for care providers and healthcare staff. That's why MEDITECH customers are recognizing the added benefits of migrating from the company's legacy platforms to the contemporary and clinically-integrated Web EHR.
"We're continuing valuable partnerships with our customers as they move forward with the latest technology MEDITECH has to offer," Christine Parent, associate vice president of marketing at MEDITECH said. "We're excited to see our customers' enthusiasm for the Web EHR as it provides the tools healthcare organizations—large or small—rely on to treat patients as efficiently and safely as possible."
Recently, these three MEDITECH customers announced they would be moving forward with the company's state-of-the-art Web EHR.
St. Claire Regional Medical Center (Morehead, Ky.)
St. Claire Regional Medical Center is the largest rural hospital in northeastern Kentucky providing services ranging from primary care to specialty and acute care. A customer since 2009, the 159-bed regional referral center will be implementing MEDITECH's Web Ambulatory, Acute, and Emergency Department solutions.
"MEDITECH's 6.1 platform will provide us the ability to review continuous patient information across all care settings," Randy McCleese, vice president of information services and chief information officer at St. Claire said. "MEDITECH offers significantly enhanced workflow capability and St. Claire is looking forward to implementing this more streamlined system."
Mary Rutan Hospital (Bellefontaine, Ohio)
Mary Rutan Hospital (45-beds) signed a contract to move from 6.0 to MEDITECH's Web Ambulatory, Acute, and Emergency Department solutions. The decision to upgrade stems from the community hospital wanting to remain independent and continue a solid partnership with MEDITECH. Director of Information Technologies at Mary Rutan Hospital, Robert Reynolds, said they are committed to provider satisfaction and are impressed with the Web EHR's ability to boost provider productivity.
"We view our partnership with MEDITECH as the cornerstone of our efforts to remain an independent community hospital. MEDITECH's Web EHR offers advances in data analytics, and quite possibly the best provider user interface on the market at a price that is both affordable and sustainable," Reynolds said. "It will allow us to manage our business effectively and recruit new providers to our community. Our partnership with MEDITECH allows us to focus on delivering quality care to our patients and to keep critical services within our community."
Bella Vista Hospital (Mayaguez, Puerto Rico)
A model in Puerto Rico for offering one of the most modern clinical laboratories in the western area and the latest healthcare technology, Bella Vista announced they will be migrating from MAGIC to 6.1. From remodeling to an expansion of the emergency room and clinical laboratory, the 157-bed hospital has grown over the years to meet the needs of their patients.
"There are many reasons why Bella Vista decided to upgrade to 6.1, including optimizing system-wide integration and the reporting and billing benefits," Sandra Calderon, chief operating officer at Bella Vista said. "We're committed to meeting the needs of our patients and part of this is to invest in the latest healthcare technology. Implementing MEDITECH's 6.1 EHR, will help us to continue to provide the best care possible in our community."
Bella Vista is joined by two teaching hospitals and 19 other facilities in Puerto Rico already using MEDITECH.
