HealthBridge Managed Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers To Honor Boston Marathon Victims With Special Fundraiser
BOSTON, June 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- With the continuation of donations being made to benefit those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings, the HealthBridge Managed Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers, along with CEO Daniel Straus, will be honoring the victims with their very own fundraiser. The fundraiser will be held at Boston's Museum of Science tonight from 5:30pm to 9:00pm.
More than 300 guests are expected to attend. Notable attendees include Boston Marathon Director Dave McGillivray, Boston Marathon Medical Director Aaron Baggish and Dr. David King. Dr. King finished the marathon and then following the bombing, he headed straight to Massachusetts General Hospital to assist with the mass influx of patients.
"Sadly, not all of the victims affected by the bombing can afford the necessary medical treatment they deserve," says Sharon Donaghue, Vice President Operations of HealthBridge. "We're honored to be given the opportunity to work with the folks of this community and play any role we can in helping those impacted by this tragedy," Donaghue added.
"In continuing with our mission to not only serve those under our care with honor, but to serve the community that supports our centers, we felt that helping people of the Boston area heal and rebuild is a fitting tribute," Daniel Straus said. "We have already raised close to $200,000, and expect to exceed $250,000. I am proud of everyone here at HealthBridge for such a wonderful achievement," Straus said.
There will be a silent auction and raffle giveaway. Among the prizes are tickets to attend Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and Boston Celtics games. Guests at the fundraiser will also have the chance to purchase a photo of themselves with Boston Red Sox's 2004 and 2007 World Series Championship trophies.
To purchase tickets, please contact Patty Pruden-Lennox at (978) 505-8758 or email [email protected].
