Health Companion® Receives 2014 ONC-HIT Certification for Secure Patient Messaging and Related Technologies

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Health Companion, Inc., a San Diego-based company, announced today the company's EHR ambulatory patient portal version 3.5 has received certification by InfoGard, an accredited ONC-ACB certification body.  The certification qualifies healthcare organizations to use Health Companion® cloud technologies to help comply with the Federal EHR Incentive Program.

Health Companion was certified for the following specific requirements:

• 170.314(e)(3) Secure Messaging
• 170.314(e)(1) View, Download, and Transmit
• 170.314(g)(2) Automated numerator recording
• 170.314(g)(4) Quality Management System
