Harsha V. Agadi Elected to Crawford & Company Board
ATLANTA, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Board of Directors of Crawford & Company (NYSE: CRDA; CRDB) on Tuesday elected Harsha V. Agadi, chairman and chief executive officer of GHS Holdings LLC, to serve as a member of the Board, the Company announced today.
"Harsha has been highly successful in establishing global brands and improving the operations of the companies he has led," said Jeffrey T. Bowman, Crawford's president and CEO. "I look forward to drawing on his guidance and expertise as we continue to grow Crawford both domestically and internationally." Agadi, who has 24 years of experience in the food service industry, most recently helped reinvigorate the Church's Chicken brand as president and CEO of the Atlanta-based organization. Under his five years of leadership, the company saw significant growth; system sales exceeded $1 billion. Agadi stepped down as CEO of Church's at the end of 2009 after selling a major portion of his interest in the quick-service restaurant company, but continues to be a shareholder and board member.
Agadi came to the United States from India in 1984 with a bachelor's degree from the University of Bombay. He attended Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and received a master's degree in business administration. He has worked for General Foods, Pepsi, American Express, Domino's Pizza and Little Caesars.
Agadi is an expert on global growth for American companies and regularly speaks at universities, conventions and professional associations. He serves on the boards of Bijoux Terner, Sbarro's Pizza, Fuqua School of Business and the SKSVMA College of Engineering. He also has established an endowment at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business for female students of Indian origin.
