NEW YORK, Oct. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In an effort to help pets in need of lifesaving emergency and specialty veterinary care, global animal philanthropy H/3 Foundation Inc. has partnered with Frankie's Friends, a national non-profit organization dedicated to finding cures and saving pets with life-threatening conditions. H/3 Foundation and Frankie's Friends share a deep conviction that any person willing to provide a caring home for an animal should have access to the highest-quality veterinary services, regardless of their financial means. H/3 Foundation is excited to work with Frankie's Friends and its affiliated partner, BluePearl Veterinary Partners, to find ways to provide more communities with access to comprehensive specialty and emergency veterinary care.
H/3 Foundation's support will allow Frankie's Friends to provide financial assistance to families who cannot afford the full cost of veterinary treatment through a number of different programs: the National Frankie's Friends Fund, the Hope Funds and the newly-established Bond's Fund. H/3 Foundation's grant to the National Fund will enable Frankie's Friends to expand its reach toward its goal of helping pets treated at any hospital, in any state, anywhere in the country. The Hope Funds will provide assistance to families at specific specialty and emergency veterinary hospitals. Bond's Fund has been established through a grant provided by H/3 Foundation to assist with the cost of specialty ophthalmic care for pets.
H/3 Foundation would like to recognize a few of the many outstanding veterinary specialists and staff from BluePearl Veterinary Partners, whose exemplary work in their individual fields inspired this initiative:
Spencer B. Haber, H/3 Foundation's Founder and Chairman, commented "Together with our partners, we hope this endeavour highlights the need to provide companion animals and their families with the resources to access the best veterinary care. We believe that any person with a big enough heart to love an animal should not have their pet care options constrained by the size of their wallet. In pursuing this objective, we are also honored to recognize Frankie Friends and BluePearl's truly exceptional specialists and staff members, who work tirelessly to improve the lives of the animals they treat."
"This generous donation will save the lives of pets in New York and across the nation, by providing advanced veterinary care to families who otherwise could not afford it," said Darryl Shaw, CEO of BluePearl Veterinary Partners.
"The support of H/3 Foundation will truly allow us to save the lives of pets in need, pets who would otherwise suffer without proper veterinary care, or worse – simply because their families can't afford the cost of the care needed," said Frankie's Friends Executive Director Danielle Martin.
