GTEC Wins ACG National Capital Deal of the Year Award
MCLEAN, Va., April 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Global Defense Technology & Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: GTEC), a provider of mission-critical, technology-based systems, solutions, and services for national security agencies and U.S. government programs, has won the 2010 Deal of the Year, Under $100 Million award at the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), National Capital Chapter awards gala held on April 8.
The Deal of the Year award recognizes the regional company that was party to the most outstanding transaction among those nominated. GTEC was nominated based on the success of the company's initial public offering (IPO) completed in November 2009. In the midst of one of the most challenging economic climates in decades, GTEC completed the first successful government services sector IPO in three years with a deal valued at $63 million.
