Greenway Introduces New Advanced Allergy Module for PrimeSuite EHR
Unprecedented Features and Functionality Fully Integrated into Interoperable EHR Solution for ENT, Allergy Practices
CARROLLTON, Ga., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc. today announced the most advanced allergy module available in an integrated electronic health record (EHR) solution for ear, nose and throat (ENT) and allergy physician practices. Developed in conjunction with a leading ENT and allergy testing and treatment practice, the Greenway® Allergy Module for PrimeSuite® provides unmatched allergy testing, serum creation, allergy shot record, lot maintenance and reporting functionality for today's ENT and allergy practice groups.
Greenway's Allergy Module for PrimeSuite, the company's integrated EHR, practice management and interoperability solution, automates and streamlines the full spectrum of patient allergy treatment from the initial patient encounter through injection record tracking, and integrates all relevant data through billing and claims processing, including:
- Tracking of allergens testing
- Serum development and auto filling of final serum sheet
- Lot administration and reporting
- Automated patient tracking to determine adherence to serum regimen
In addition, the new Allergy Module from Greenway provides unique digital charting on a per-patient basis:
- Discrete data for reporting and analysis
- Vial details and allergen definition
- Injection site and dose amount
- Reactions, orders and comments
- Patient education availability
The new Greenway Allergy Module is currently in operation at co-developer Advanced ENT and Allergy, LLC, an eight-location, 14-provider practice based in Louisville, Ky. that serves close to 3,000 patients.
According to Michele Marry, allergy manager for Advanced ENT and Allergy, "Greenway's Allergy Module for PrimeSuite provides a level of functionality that surpasses any other system I am aware of. The reporting system allows us to track productivity, while the digital filling of the serum sheet is probably one of the most beneficial features. It used to take 30 minutes to hand write a serum recipe, and now the PrimeSuite Allergy Module does it in about a second," said Marry.
"The new Allergy Module streamlines the entire documentation and patient charting process," continued Marry. "From the first patient skin test all the way through to placement of the injection record, we never have to pull a paper chart, and we can easily track patients to determine when their serum expires so we can alert the patient. We could never do that electronically before."
Tee Green, Greenway's President and CEO, pointed to the close relationship between the company's software developers and its customers as a key factor in creating the robust feature set of the new Allergy Module. "Greenway was founded on the principle that close cooperation between our own software developers and our physician practice customers is critical to our ongoing ability to meet their specific needs," said Green. "The development of our new Allergy Module is another in the growing succession of collaborative relationships that have enabled us to succeed in helping improve the quality and effectiveness of healthcare providers in a wide range of specialties."
The new Allergy Module will be available to new and existing PrimeSuite customers at no additional charge by the end of the year.
