JACKSON, Mich., Jan. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Great Lakes Caring Home Health and Hospice announced today an advancement in its leadership structure to further leverage its position in the industry as a leading provider of the post-acute healthcare continuum.

Great Lakes Caring's Evolution of Excellence plan puts into place the following leadership changes that includes the promotion of key members of the Executive Leadership Team: Adam Nielsen to President; Marcy Miller, RN to Chief Clinical Officer; and Carry vandenMaagdenberg, Chief Information Officer. William Deary remains Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Nielsen, 41 has recently served as Great Lakes Caring's Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development and since 2009 has been an integral driver of the growth, expansion and strategic positioning of Great Lakes Caring in its role as a value-driven provider of post-acute care. He brings to the position over 17 years of strategic advisory and healthcare experience. Prior to working at Great Lakes Caring Mr. Nielsen worked at Deloitte and Deutsche Bank. As President of Great Lakes Caring, he will work with the company's Executive Leadership Team to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Company and the overall execution of the strategic goals and operational plans of Great Lakes Caring. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master of Business Administration degree.
In this role, Ms. Miller, 42 will oversee the home health and hospice business lines. In her 15 years at Great Lakes Caring, she has been at the forefront of delivering award winning clinical care outcomes. Her expertise in home health leadership, a commitment to corporate culture and her experience as a certified hospice administrator all reinforce the Company's position as a provider of superior quality health care in the home. She is a graduate with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan.
As data analytics is increasingly a key driver in the provision of health care, information flow, interpretation of data and the impact it has on the company's mission, is vitally important. In her 18 years with Great Lakes Caring Ms. vandenMaagdenberg, 47 has been instrumental in building an information technology backbone for the data-driven organization. In her role as Chief Information Officer, she will be responsible for transforming data into knowledge and knowledge into action in order to enhance quality, realize efficiencies and build upon the exchange of information with our many healthcare partners. She graduated with a degree in physical therapy from the Netherlands.
