Graduate School and Franklin Covey Co. Partner to Provide Specialized Leadership and Effectiveness Training for Government
Kicked Off With One-Day Executive Summit
WASHINGTON, July 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, the Graduate School and Franklin Covey Co. launched a newly formed partnership to deliver training to government managers and senior executives with its first Executive Summit. The Graduate School will be a premier provider of Franklin Covey solutions to government. The one-day summit was held at the L'Enfant Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C. and hosted nearly 100 people. This was the kick-off event for a series of ongoing Franklin Covey courses designed to help government employees increase their personal effectiveness and the execution of their organization's mission.
"I spent a full day learning from the experts on how to build trust, execute on strategy and how to increase productivity and effectiveness," says Brigadier General James Muscatell, Keesler Air Force Base. "This experience is valuable for anyone who wants to inspire and lead in today's government."
The one-day summit included five presentations on leadership by the Graduate School's Dr. Percy Thomas and a number of Franklin Covey executives including CEO Bob Whitman. Whitman opened the day with a discussion on the importance of clearly defining success with all stakeholders in order to increase performance and become a "winning" organization. The additional presentations built on that theme and focused on strategies to transform your workplace.
"Partnering with a proven leader like Franklin Covey brings an even greater depth and value to the leadership training we can offer for government employees," says Dr. Jerry Ice, CEO and President of the Graduate School. "We look forward to launching this new set of courses and being a premier provider of Franklin Covey solutions to the government sector."
