Governor Rendell Signs Legislation

HARRISBURG, Pa., June 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Edward G. Rendell today signed into law the following bills:

House Bill 1720: An Act amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in theft and related offenses, providing for the offense of organized retail theft.

House Bill 1641: An Act requiring a circulating nurse in certain operating rooms.

Senate Bill 987: An Act authorizing the Department of General Services, with the approval of the Governor, to grant and convey to Washington County Authority, certain lands in Cecil Township, Washington County.
