Governor Rendell Signs Legislation
HARRISBURG, Pa., April 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Edward G. Rendell today signed into law the following bills:
Senate Bill 126: an act amending the act of April 14, 1972 (P.L. 233, No. 64), known as the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act, further providing for prohibited acts and penalties, for liquefied ammonia gas, precursors and chemicals, for methamphetamine production, for operating a methamphetamine laboratory and illegal dumping of methamphetamine waste and for environmental costs.
House Bill 485: an act amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, providing for the offense of illegal dumping of methamphetamine waste; imposing a penalty; and providing for the offense of operation of methamphetamine laboratory.
House Bill 1030: an act authorizing the Department of General Services, with the approval of the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and the Governor, to grant and convey, at a price to be determined through a competitive bid process, certain lands, buildings and improvements situated in Oil City, Venango County; and authorizing the Department of General Services, with the approval of the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and the Governor, to grant and convey, at a price to be determined through a competitive bidding process, certain lands, buildings and improvements situated in the First Ward of the City of Meadville, Crawford County.
House Bill 602: an act amending the act of May 1, 1933 (P.L. 216, No.76), known as the Dental Law, further defining "expanded function dental assistant;" further providing for the State Board of Dentistry; and providing for scope of practice of expanded function dental assistant.
Senate Bill 888: an act designating the bridges on Route 28 in the Boroughs of Etna and Sharpsburg, Allegheny County, as the Chief Warrant Officer Michael J. Novosel Memorial Bridges; and making a related repeal.
