Governor Rendell Orders Flags at Capitol, Lancaster County to Fly at Half-Staff in Honor of Cpl. Eric M. Torbert Jr.
HARRISBURG, Pa., Dec. 23, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Edward G. Rendell today ordered all U.S. and Pennsylvania flags in the Capitol Complex and at commonwealth facilities in Lancaster County to be flown at half-staff in honor of U.S. Marine Corporal Eric M. Torbert Jr., of Lancaster.
Cpl. Torbert was killed Saturday, Dec. 18 while serving on active duty in Afghanistan. He was a member of the 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force based in Camp Pendleton, CA.
Flags should remain at half-staff through sunset on Tuesday, Dec. 28.
