Governor, First Lady Rendell Invite Pennsylvanians to Visit Governor's Residence Gardens
HARRISBURG, Pa., June 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Edward G. Rendell and First Lady Judge Marjorie O. Rendell invite the public to visit the Governor's Residence Gardens on Sunday, June 6, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Visitors can stroll through the gardens and listen to live music while watching talented, local artists demonstrate their skills throughout the afternoon.
The Residence is located at 2035 North Front Street in Harrisburg and is accessible to individuals with disabilities. Parking is permitted on North Second Street, directly in front of the Residence.
Residence tours are also open to the public at no charge from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout June. Guided tours last 30 minutes and include a brief history and tour of the first floor and gardens. Reservations are required and can be scheduled by calling 717-772-9130.
The Residence is currently showcasing an art exhibition of "The Seven Lively Artists: In the Sixth Decade," which includes 48 paintings by Harrisburg-area artists.
